Oklahoma game wardens serve as guardians of fish and wildlife for the state. There are 120 game wardens with at least one game warden in each of the state’s 77 counties. Game wardens work to make sure that illegal practices among some do not jeopardize the opportunities for law-abiding citizens to hunt, fish and enjoy the outdoors. Wardens enforce game laws by using state-of-the-art tools, such as robotic deer decoys to catch poachers, and night-vision equipment to find spotlighters.
